Location Problems

In the beginning of the movie, where John fetches Savannah's bag, they are in either the Isle of Palms or Folly Beach, which are beach-towns in metropolitan Charleston, SC (where the movie takes place). They are the only locations with a public pier that looks like the one in the movie. Then they casually stroll down the shore to Savannah's beach house, which is actually in another town (Sullivan's Island... I know because I always pass by that house when I go to the beach, and there are no public piers of that design there).

From the Isle of Palms, it would require 3+ hours, a walk over a connecting bridge (or a swim across a dangerous inlet), 3+ miles of beach walking, and navigation over many tough jetties to get to that house.

If that was from Folly Beach, they would have to walk over a bridge, cut through a suburban town, cross another bridge, walk across downtown Charleston, cross the big Ravenel Bridge, cut through an even bigger suburban town, cross one more bridge, and walk 2 miles of beach or road to get to the house. All while carrying a surfboard and wearing flip-flops. It takes 1/2 an hour to do so in a car, and I cannot imagine how long it would take to merely walk!

I know it's just a movie, and most people would not care, but this really troubled me when I first saw the movie. Had to write it somewhere!

Its LeviOsa, not levioSA!
