I have one question (plot point)
He asked why didn't she call him? Where was she supposed to call? She had no idea where to phone, did she?

shareGood point! Though I think she could have somehow called the station or something and they might have put her through but without actually telling her where she's calling..
He could have put a number in the letters he sent her. Though as Special Forces he would normally be operating in forward positions without any phone or internet contact. There was a scene, for example, where he grabbed a satellite phone to call her that was obviously not meant for personal use.
shareAh! Now I am further informed. Thanks so much!
shareGuess they were not friends on Facebook either. Would be easier to post something along the lines of

John says there is no Internet at most of the places he's deployed. There may be now, but that part of the film takes place around early 2000's.

Sigh. FB didn't even start until 2006, and wasn't open to the public (e.g., non-college students) until around 2009. So, they couldn't have been FB friends, even if he had internet access. Which he didn't.
shareBankConsultant...Facebook wasnt around at year 2000 either...since thats the year that it suppose to be in the movie...
