Did Kim die?

Do we think Kim definitely died when she jumped off the yacht into the sea or is there a chance she may have survived that?

Oh, I'm sure she survived the fall. But did she survive floating around in the ocean for however long it took to find her? Probably not. But stranger things have happened. Plus, the life raft would be floating around in the area.

She deserved to die after what she did to Sean.

Her character annoyed me to no end. It was her who really got them into that mess since she was so willing to follow the boys to their yacht, and then she went bloody haywire, killing someone with a motor when he wasn't even pointing the gun at the other girl. Twat.

reply

Again, her actions are totally understandable. Stupid, yes. But she's frightened and panicking and grieving all at the same time. You can't expect people to act rationally under those circumstances.

As for whether she died or not, the film doesn't clear it up but I think it is pretty much a given. I don't know much about that part of the world, being from Australia, but I assume the Mediterranean is pretty cold at night, and besides, how long can someone tread water for?

She thought the guy was going to murder her friend with the shotgun---all she saw and heard was her friend sitting there with the dude yelling at her---given how scared they both were at everything going out of control, it's almost understandable why she snapped and went after him with the blade.

Agreed. She had it coming

As if you were there ! Why exactly after all she went through has she to decide she wanted to jump in the sea ?

> As if you were there !

She merely tipped over backwards and landed in the water about four feet below. I really don't have to physically be there to tell you that she survived the fall.

I don't know. Girls do funny and illogical things sometimes.

My best guess is that she just gave up. It's been a while but wasn't she the one that killed the guy that was actually trying to help the girls? It probably hit her pretty hard that her life would never be the same. Her friends were dead and in order for her to live she'd have to kill the rest of the guys. No matter how it turns out the authorities will be giving her a difficult time (she did stalk and kill people) and she'll be a media sensation for many years. She decided to just give up and end it in her own way.

@bing

Oh, and men ALWAYS think everything out in a rational way--NOT! Gimme a break---I've heard of men doing equally stupid s*** without thinking (sometimes because they were thinking with their little head first), it's not like women have the market cornered on irrationality at all.

reply

Good then. YOU give us a reason why the chick just did a swan dive and, most likely, died in the chilly waters a few hours later.

I think that considering it wasnt that far for Kim to jump she may have survived the fall, but the way things would look is that by the time everything happened she probably froze to death in the water. Remember Marcus jumped into the water to tie down the girls and he was freezing when he got back out. I personally loved this movie and have watched it many times. It is a great indie made on a low budget, but it's not just that, it is unique, exciting, entertaining, great acting and direction, a lot of great things rolled into one and not just about sex or gore, yet it might feature both.

She was rescued by captain Nemo and served the rest of her life as his slave of pleasure.

what a *beep* movie, rotten piece of *beep* pathetic lame disgusting crap

that pathetic whore *beep* bitch should have been killed by the motor instead, what kind of a rotten upbringing raises a disgusting pathetic whore *beep* like her

Answ:
Oh,yeah, right---you call the woman a "whore" for sleeping with one of the guys, but yet you don't call any of the guys in the film "whores" for sleeping with some women they barely knew? Why aren't they equally called "whores",too? Typical sexist double standard as usual .

I always interpreted that scene as her dying after jumping into the sea and getting cut by the yacht propeller(s)?
