Baffled

Why isn't this film getting any recognition? There are a total of about 10 threads on this film with as little as 25 responses. People will flock in droves to a message board about a blockbuster film to argue over religion and racism when the film has nothing to do with either. Where are the intelligent debates over the genocide in darfur? Why will everyone discuss the plotline to Saw IV but not something important like this? I just expected more discussion about this film or the genocide.

I live in the Nashville, Tn area and all I ever hear when it comes to other nationalities is people stating they think they all should die. Is it just because I am living in the ignorant redneck south or is it all americans that feel that way? When any discussion is brought up about the middle east everyone suggests we just destroy countries and regions with nuclear weapons. When it comes to genocide they say who cares? Let them kill themselves. They are nothing but animals anyhow. Why are we so ignorant and blind in our perfect little world? We scream bloody murder about how life sucks in the U.S. because gasoline prices are too high for our SUV's.

When I ask why do you want to see an entire race wiped out the answer I get is, "They all hate us anyways. Better they die first because they are just going to try and kill us anyways."

So we claim they hate us and want to kill us. Could you blame them? We apparently hate and want to kill them. It is just so easy to turn a blind eye while we wake up everyday to our climate controlled vehicles, hot sausage mcgriddles from McD's and not literally having a 50/50 chance of dying everday.

And now I just took a look at the few posts on this board and saw that most of them are the same ignorant stereotypical and probably American people I just mentioned.

I don't even know where to start in expressing my agreement with everything you just said. There's so much ignorance and hatred in the world that it boggles the mind. Why is it so fricking hard for some people to understand that we are all human beings? It's not that complicated!

Because people don't care. Unless Darfur affects there TV reception or America's supply of dorito's, the majority of the population won't give a damn.
