'Maa' reminds me of 'Mother' by Pink Floyd

Did anyone feel the same way about the song "Maa"? Not the literal meaning as such, but the theme seems to be inspired by the song. Btw, saw this movie last week and loved it. Something different...

No.

Not quite, I would say. The themes or inspiration behind the songs vary by just too much, to make any comparison! While 'Mother' carries a veiled sarcasm about an over-protective/domineering mother that runs throughout the length of the song, 'Maa' is a poignant sketch of a son missing his mother immensely!
So... if you want, these are two facets of motherhood, indeed, but almost orthogonal.

you are such a fool calonclick, this movie is a masterpiece...

Strange how people like to tak esuch extreme sides. It's neither a masterpiece, nor is it horrible by any gauge.

I never, do tell you,
But I am frightened by the darkness, mother
Usually I, don't show,
But I do care about you, mother
You know it all, don't you mother?
You know it all, my mother.

Don't leave me like this in the crowd
Such that I am not able to come back to the home.
Don't send me so far
Such that you don't remember me at all.
Am I that bad, mother?
So bad... my mother?

Whenever... father...
Pushes me hard... on the swing, mother...
My eyes... seek you...
I do think this... you will come to hold me, mother...
I don't... tell him this...
But I do... get scared, mother
On the face... I don't let this show
In the heart... I get frightened, mother
You know it all, don't you mother?
You know it all, my mother.

I never, do tell you,
But I am frightened by the darkness, mother
Usually I, don't show,
But I do care about you, mother
You know it all, don't you mother?
You know it all, my mother.
