Not perfect, but rather good

I thought the trailers for this looked quite good when it came out at the cinema. But, I didn't get 'round to seeing it. So, I was quite pleased to notice that it was on BBC1 last night... Not perfect... I felt everything was sorted out a little too easily... The technology used in the surrogates must have been extremely advanced. But, technology generally didn't seem to have moved on much at all, which seemed a bit unlikely... Would the proportion of surrogate-users really have been so high and would all surrogate-users really have used their surrogates all the time..? And, Greer and Peters seemed oddly distant for partners. Though, to be fair, perhaps that was intentional - a side-effect of using surrogates..? However, generally, I thought this was rather a good film - an interesting idea, well-written, well-acted and well-made... Also, it had some nice little touches, like the surrogate Maggie's slight disgust the first time we see her talking to the real Greer... It certainly deserves a higher rating than 6.2.
