I truly am Sorry but...

I really didn't enjoy this film. I truly mean no disrespect to those that did, and I really thought the message was thought provoking but I just feel it was a very 'hipster' take to a film, I know this may make me sound like an uncultured douche and In all probability it might but I just feel there was so much in this film that was unnecessary, maybe it's just the style I'm not used too and maybe I'll appreciate it more one day, if this post doesn't get absolutely infested with trolls then I'll be happy to elaborate on points and hell you guys might even change my mind and I'm all for seeing a film for it's true potential rather than what I just interpreted.

Trying to make a non-troll sounding ''I didn't like this move'' post is quite difficult

At least you weren't like the d bags that just say " that was a stupid *beep* film. Tbh I'm not a huge fan either, I thought it was only alright but fassbender was good in it. As an Irishman I was hoping for bits that weren't in the film

I don't know exactly what is generally meant with "hipster" therefore I don't understand fully what you wrote. Anyway the fact that you think it was thought provoking ha positive and means something. It is curious because while most people say the movie tells too little, you think the contrary. What was unnecessary in your opinion? I loved the movie, it is something so new, its structure so original. But I understand it is not for every taste.

I don't understand what you mean by hipster film, but I agree with you, I didn't enjoy it either. Fassbender was amazing and the 17 minute scene was unbelievable, but I find the film kind of boring and with unnecessary long scenes.

Yes, the 17 minute take requires very much work by the actors, but it's not really interesting (some parts of it where, but it was 17 fucκing minutes) and the direction (a steady camera) is boring.

I see the film more like a challenge to the actors (hard script, losing 90 pounds) than to an actual movie. If you want to see a very good film about the IRA prisoners, see "In the Name of the Father" (1993) with Daniel Day-Lewis.
