Ok. I do know:
- That 'Duska' is the name of the Russian movie and not the name of the stranger
- That Bob end up in the exact same bus that was used in the movie
My question actually: So what?
The film ends where it has started: in the bus. But what does that add to the story? I'm a bit lost here.
The movie is beautifully filmed but I think the pace was a bit too slow

I've seen the movie yesterday in the premiere in Utrecht.
I was even lucky to met the director of Duska. He explained :
The ending is simple. Bob is dead but he gave the end of his story a nice ending. If you remember the girl told him he should give his history a nice ending because it shouldn't be a sad story. That's what he did.
So actually the end was made up to make sure that the ending was a nice ending and not a sad one :)
Pretty good movie if you ask me! gave it an 8.
I saw the movie in an festival of Dutch movies in Albania (guess what two years later, we're a little slow down here). I wish I could find more Stelling movies on the internet, but I found none.
Anyways, I loved the movie and I loved the way it ended. The epilogue was beautiful. I'm glad it meant what I thought, that it was what he had written for the girl.
And all the movie was great. In terms of depth it made me think of all the Duskas in my life. In terms of imagery, was one of the best. I wish the director were more popular. Not for much, I don't really like popular film makers, or popular artists, but just cause if he were more popular I would be able to find his movies in torrentz.
Well, I thought the ending involved what Silvia did when she went to his computer. I thought she was writing the ending since his story was about her anyway. So she wrote a happy ending--that might yet come true! But hey there are different interpretations, that's just mine. Like did Bob sleep with Silvia? Some people say no, I say sure looked like it to me & sure looked like she wanted him to!! I don't think Bob was dead--he was only 51--they were just tearing his building down.
