Akshaye Khanna?

On IMDB in the casting it says that Akshaye Khanna is part of the movie. But I saw the full thatreical trailer if it before Bhool Bhulaiyya and there was no mention of him at all. Is that a mistake by IMDB, or is it a special appearence or something?

I'm a rebel.

I think the movie is truly ground breaking in the sense that it also deals with a younger man so infatuated with an older woman that he marries her. Akshaye Khanna plays her lover in the movie who is also a stage director. And he supports his wife's journey back to India where she takes on the challenge of inducing art and joy in the collapsing winds of the village. Sounds really wonderful to me as far as female-oriented movies in the godforsaken Bollywood go.

^ His role is nothing like that. *spoilers* His role is of the local MP who wants to raise a shopping mall where Ajanta theatre currently stands. He challenges Dia (Madhuri) to put up a show - involving the people of Shamili. If she succeeds, the theatre remains. His is a complex role, where he believes he will win, but he isn't your traditonal evil politician/local bigwig, who sabotages Dia's production to have his way. He truly wants what the people want, and thus just watches as Dia builds her play up in the 2 months he's given her. Quite a good performance by Akshaye, actually.

^ Yes, I watched the movie last night. He is a guest appearance, but quite an important part in the movie. Like I said above, he isn't Madhuri's husband, but the MP of the town of Shamili.

*Spoiler alert*

Madhuri's (ex)husband is an American man who comes to town to photograph the theatre for the National Geographic Magazine. They soon divorce, though, and he isn't mentioned after that.
