Laila Majnu part

I think besides the title track, this part was the hottest section of the movie. I truly enjoyed it!

By the way, it is just me or someone else thinks the same...In the last part of Laila Majnu (when they both die)... Madhuri is seen in a tiara and a white gown... With a close-up, you don't feel it, but from a distance, that looks like Jesus... Or the question is... Was that supposed to symbolize Jesus?

I get what you mean. I don't think she was. It was a happy coincidence. She was play an angel, who was letting Laila and Majnun through as well as narrating the story and explicitly stating the moral of the story.

Aah, I see... The Angel makes more sense then... It could be the Angel leading them to the doors of the paradise. Hmm.. Interesting, indeed!

I also liked this part! I think it was my favorite part! I loved the romance between the characters and just how they acted out to match Laila Majnu was just great.

For me, that was the worst part of the movie. I presume you are talking about the final enactment of the play. Pure childishness and boredom, if you asked me.
My little girls liked it though.
Found the film overall very clever, but it just lost it in the finale.

If only the brilliant title track could have been used in the climax instead.

i didnt like the end either but i liked the part where laila majnu meet in the mela. the ik pal song was beautiful. sooo romantic.

IMO that sequence was the best part of the film. I really liked how it was shot, the dances, everything about it. However, its presentation really derails from the consistency of the film (well, it was a bad film anyway).

Put the kitty to rest.

It was actually based on a true story from a couple in Persia. The movie has been done over several times. The 1976 version with Rishi Kapoor and Ranjeeta Kaur was excellent as well.

To hear a beautiful Persian song with scenes from this film please see - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASnf_sYgp8g
