the liverpool gangs were pathetic

Watch all the episodes, you can clearly see a tread between poverty and corruption of government office as a caclyst for the majority of the gangs. people feel they have been stripped of dignity and pride and so the gang give a sense of power and respect. But the in the liverpool episode it came across to me like a bunch kids with nothing better to do the shoot people they used to go to school with. To me they didnt seem like any reason to be in a gang and use that level of violence. they just need to calm down calm down lol

Anybody else have an opinion on them?

I'm from Liverpool and it seems to me that these kids are fed up with how life is, such as school, bad parenting etc, so they see gangs as a way out and they earn respect from others by becoming involved. Yes, some may say that they are pathetic, but most of them are kids who haven't had the greatest upbringing. However, that is no excuse. I think they have just accepted that it is their way of life.

What about the stupid "gangs" in russia, poland and those nazi low riders in los angels? Didn't make any sense.

I think what he means is with the Liverpool kids it just seemed so low key, meaningless. They hate each other just for living on different streets. Where most of the other gang wars around the world are fuelled by drugs, racial barriers, etc.

The Liverpool kids just came across as a bunch of uneducated scallies. And you could tell Ross wasn't taking them very seriously.
