Where did Tom Savini go?
So did he just decide to skip town after Padre was killed and Machete threatened revenge? Or did he get killed and I just missed it?

He is killed in a deleted scene thats on the blu ray.

Too bad that the character (Osiris Amanpour) is dead, I thought he would be one of the main villains in "Machete Kills".
It was fun to see Tom Savini again, he was great as "Sex Machine" in "From Dusk till Dawn", I would have been glad to see him took a bigger part in this franchise!
He was supposed to be in the sequel. It's just like in Demolition Man Jesse Ventura had a minor part. A cut out scene in Demolition Man (deleted scenes are not released but there was the novelization and comic book adaption to the movie) Sylvester Stallone fights that henchman to Wesley Snipes played by Jesse "The Body" Ventura (assuming he kills him) before the the final fight with Wesley Snipes just as another character seen in Demolition Man is cut out being killed and is the character played by Bill Cobbs.
I own Machete on DVD and maybe Tom Savani's character won't be killed until the sequel. I viewed the deleted scenes and couldn't find the character killed. Does Machete kill the Osiris character in the cut out scene? Also that priest played by Cheech Marin kills 5 henchmen and then has the 2 shot guns aimed at that hired hitman played by Tom Savani. He had the chance to shoot him but that priest got shot in the leg by the hit man.
