@daniel4242T Good points, but I think you give the liberals a bit of a pass though. They use the poor and minorities as political pawns for their ultimate goals of a totally gov't ruled society. Is capitalism any better, where a man's worth is judged by what he can produce for the "greedy Corporation"? I don't know, I'm not a social economist. I do know that with proper checks and balances, capitalism is proven sustainable and many average people can prosper and advance themselves.
The problem as I see it is lobbyists. They've been around since the birth of the nation. But now they seem to wield way too much power and influence. On the Democrat side it's pork barrel politics and useless, wasteful projects(mostly unionized) and spending. On the Republican side it's corporations and financial institutions controlling politicians. THe common man in the voting booth is faced with a lose/lose situation.
I think this is the allure of a guy like Trump. He's beholden to no one, has no need for lobby money, therefor he can say or do anything he wants. He seems to speak from a lowest common denominator of common sense, that people rarely hear from politicians. There's never any double talk or back pedaling. He absolutely owns everything he says, good or bad. I don't personally like him. He's another Mike Bloomberg, a megalomaniac.
