first time 2 see this movie ITS GREAT..after 'negative review' for this movie i already read, i think think this movie its BETTER THAN u'lll said!!!
i'm not indian & not hard fun bollywood, i see this movie its bcoz its poster soo great & i want 2 see rani perfomances after see her at BLACK! film its a reality life!! combine with great place, beautiful cinematography, of course great perfomance to RANI, JAYA, KONKONA& KUNAL...oh god this film not get positive response..
I think so too. The pacing was great, there's a lot of movement happening throughout. And the acting is THE focal point of the movie.
If you compare their performances in such things as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Jaya Bachchan is completely glam free, and has played one of her most convincing roles yet as the mother of the sisters.
Compare Rani Mukherjee's and Anupam Kher's relationship in this movie and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and you'll see the difference. Abhishek and Kunal are excellent.
Konkona Sen is a force to be reckoned with. Her completely natural performances in every one of her movies is a joy to see, including in this one, especially the Baan Ganga scene.
Definitely go and see this movie, and make the judgement for yourself.
For such a touchy issue, there's a billion places this movie could have gone wrong, but every scene is done with finesse and grace. The movie does not stop for theatrics. In fact, it's so natural that it seems truly and fully plausible.
Absolutely agree with you both. The highlight of this movie is the acting. Never over the top just very realistic. All three of the women in the movie were outstanding. Rani has become the ultimate in understated acting thus making it seem so effortless. She is just so natural and makes every character of her's believable.

The mistake was with the promotion .They shouldn't have revealed the entire story in the trailers.Nevertheless it was an awesome movie as far as I'm concerned . it was thoroughly enjoyable may be not the best movie but definitely a very well made movie :)
