Lina Sastri
I saw her live once a long time ago but I never forgot her. She was Anna Magnani and Judy Garland, Anouk Aimee and Edith Piaf all rolled into one.
I would like to know more about her role in this movie.

She is from Naples but played Anna Magnani in a film about the making of Rome Open City. She is fantastic on stage.

The actual ceremony was the usual embarrasment. In a hurry, clumsy, cheap, really, very cheap but Lina...Lina was gorgeous and classy, and wonderful.
