this movie flatlined the second the first monster came on screen

up to that point it seemed like it had the potential to be a little atmospheric flick with the premise of a twilight zone ep. but then came that ridiculous ghost like monster,and it all went down the toilet. then from a ghost it turned to a monster. then to a monstr with a necklace. and they all did nothing but scratch a woman's leg. this movie is awful. thank god it's only 75 minutes long . what a joy.

People, there are movies made for literally 10 dollars. Or maybe even less.

So, the worst over-budgeted movie of the year?
I also happen to have this naive belief that you can't measure how good a movie is by its budget.

The word you're looking for is "high-budget".

Money is not the problem. I've seen great movies that were made on a shoe-string budget.

I was thinking THE EXACT SAME THING when it happened, everyone in the room burst out laughing. And the necklace bit was precious - it made the 'monster' look like a reject from that gore band GWAR. It's like the director thought that the awful ghosts with the shredded paper sleeves weren't enough so he keeps piling on the ridiculousness.

Except that Lordi's stage show is a total rip-off of GWAR. Their music is a total rip-off of AC/DC and other classic hard rock acts.

Then it's only fitting that KISS' "reunion" in the 90's cashed in on the popularity GWAR had built at the time, right?

Lordi's music has riffs lifted directly from AC/DC and leads stolen from Iron Maiden and Megadeth. The "Arockalypse?" Excuse me? Ever heard of GWAR's "Ragnarock?"

No, they should be given a second chance, if they did reshoots of a few scenes (all the scenes with Lordi in them, and reshot them with some less embarassing creatures) then it could be a really good horror film.

It wasn't that bad. Only the monsters were the problem. Hell, you could probably successfully edit them out and make the movie perfect. Just splice in some monster footage from something from some old B-Movie and it would work fine. I was on the edge of my seat until the ghost showed up. And when it went away, it got tense again...but then the monster came out of the elevator...but then it got tense again...but then...well, you get the idea.

Wasting is what humans do best. I'm just excelling in my field.
