Interview with Nina Davenport

I stumbled upon this documentary on PBS and couldn't stop watching even as increasingly caustic and uncomfortable it became. It was like watching two parasites feeding off of each--bound by mutual exploitation (professional reward and guilt for the filmmakers, fear and opportunism for the subject). The message seems to be that human beings are indeed alike everywhere, alike in the banality of their narcissism and naivete.

If you want to hear Nina Davenport's side of the story, apparently, the Muthana in the completed film was a "good" version. http://media.www.thestrand.ca/media/storage/paper404/news/2007/10/04/FilmMusic/Operation.Filmmaker.An.Interview.With.Nina.Davenport-3013104.shtml;

Apparently this guy even tried to sue them for the way he was portrayed, but only after he found out from the internet that this portrayal was that of being "spoiled."
