Grandmother - Spoiler

They discover her dead after she finds someone (I'm guessing the children's mom) hanging from a tree. What the heck did she die of? I'm usually pretty good at figuring out movies but I'm not sure about this one. Was Lucio around still and killed her too?
I think the movie was pretty good and there were beautiful shots but some scenes were harder to figure out, IMO.

Not sure if you'll read this since you posted several months ago, but I'll try to explain my interpretation. The grandmother has a bad heart, which was hinted at near the beginning when Ale reminds his mother to "take her pills" with her when she leaves for Tomas' house.

The forest where she dies is also the scene of Ale's near-hanging by Lucio/Soro when Ale was a child. We know this because Ale finally remembers the hanging as he lays beaten by Lucio near the railroad tracks. Rosa is very stressed as she thinks Lucio is lurking in the woods. Combine that with the flashback she has of her son almost being murdered, and that caused her to have a heart attack an die on the spot. Hope that clears things up!

Thanks for that. I couldn't figure out if she had fallen and drowned (she seems disoriented) or if Soro/Lucio had something to do with her death. But your explanation makes the most sense.

I assumed it was a dream or some sort of weird flashback that she was having because if you watch the scene where she wakes up in the chair and suddenly the film goes black and white, when she looks at the faucet, the water is dripping up. I took that to mean that not all was as it seemed in that scene. I assumed that she was sleep walking and drowned or yes, as was stated, she had a heart attack or something of the sort.
