Useless female lead!! (Spoilers)

Even though she is very cute and talented the poor girl is completely overlooked in the story. She inspires him at certain points in the film but overall all the plot development is done by the lead himself with no real interaction from her. She just stands around the whole film (what little time that is) and looks sad. Her rain-song subplot never went anywhere and I was expecting her career progress to be a bigger part of the story. What a waste.

The film could have been so much better.
