Budget?

anyone know what the budget was on the movie?

Like most crap Candian movies, about $57. And I'm a proud Canadian. Just one who's embarassed by dismal tax write-offs like this garbage.

You shouldn't be embarrassed by this film at all...

And who says that a good movie needs a high budget? Whatever happened to creating art? Some of the best art (visual, constructive, film, music, writing, etc) is done with very little money. You don't need money to create something beautiful and thought-provoking. Unless what you're going for is another Hollywood Blockbuster with tons of high-def 3D effects and *beep* exploding -- not saying that that's not entertaining to watch every once and a while, but it's not the only kind of movie that exists, and most of the time, certainly not thought-provoking or something that is going to stay with you through the rest of your life.

I'd rather watch this than some pretentious Egoyan film.

In the case of 2 month old Alisha, Brian, YOU ARE THE FATHER

I'd rather watch this film than some uber-budget, take away the special effects eye candy and you're left with absolutely nothing, Michael Bay piece of trash.

According to Slamdance (the festival this movie appeared at: "Our main feature competition is strictly devoted to films without domestic theatrical distribution, with first-time feature directors, and budgets under one million dollars. We also have a Special Screening program for features that fall outside of those criteria, but still somehow have the Slamdance spirit. In addition to narrative features, Slamdance also shows shorts, documentaries, music videos and experimental films."

So, it appears that it was likely under $1 million, which means the actors likely acted for free or deferred payment.
