Very different from UK version

I prefer the UK version; not just because it's more unfiltered, but because of the format. No commercials means more episode time, so we see him working with the chefs more. And, they ended each episode with his six to eight week follow up, so we could see how it was going. The US version is so Hollywood, what with the bigger budget. You get the incidental music, the funds to redecorate the place, etc. Very different vibe.

And to be honest, the US version feels very staged in a lot of ways. I mean, he shows up and in one day redecorates the whole place? After seeing it one time? No way. They HAD to have visited it before, if for no other reason than to be able to order things like furniture to go in the place. No way he goes out at 5:00 one evening and overnight gets all that done without some pre-work.

And I don't know if it's Ramsay, or the producers, but in many episodes they HAVE to work in a female employee talking about how hot he is. I mean, sure, he's a good looking guy...but do we need to hear a waitress talk about how good looking he is, or how nice his ass is? That reeks of US reality TV.
