Rented this not knowing what to expect, but...

When I first came to Hollywood, I signed up with Central Casting. I did one day of extra work on the show scrubs....got my check for 42 dollars after taxes, and decided that was enough for me. The folks shown in this film were very much like the people I met on set that day. Characters, career extras, people who I vividly remember to this day. A paranoid conspiracy guy, a woman who tried to take me under her wing and show me the ropes. I remember people talking about how the catering was good on such and such show or the 2nd AD was terrible on another.

I rented this film a bit weary that it might be another bad doc that managed to get distribution because of it's subject matter (like 24 hours on Craigslist). But production quality was good and the film was well put together. I felt they did a pretty good job of treating the folks in the film with respect....although there were moments when I cringed a bit.

Anyway, if you have an interest in the lives of behind the scenes Hollywood, it's worth watching.

Yeah, this was a really well made film. I found it interesting, especially the people profiled. It was funny, strange, sad and I couldn't stop watching. What a strange world these people live in. I'd recommend this film. It's a good documentary.
