Opening Sequence + Yves Klein Shot


I'm astonished to discover that a film-writer, writing a film about a film-writer would actually open-out this movie with the most cliched, most frequently REJECTED narrative opening CONCEIVABLE in the history of professional realist cinema unless, of course, it happens to be executed as some kind of joke... The dream sequence? The alarm clock? The clown? C'mon, you just can't do that, man. But what about that quick cut therein? Reminds me of Yves Klein, Falling Into the Abyss. I'm going the guess it was the editors that came up with that one -nice. A little more of that, and FINAL DRAFT might have made for a cool movie -a writerly movie. You know what I'm talking about...
