Cross Contamination

I was watching an episode where she was making chicken with a wet jerk rub. She spooned the rub out of the jar and onto the chicken and then spread it onto the chicken with the spoon. Then she takes the spoon and puts it back into the jar of jerk rub. I've worked in the food service industry and this is a big no no. I realize that she probably won't ever use the rest of the jar but if she is doing a program that shows people how to cook then she should be modeling good practices. Then she puts the chicken on the griddle with tongs and uses the same tongs to flip peaches that have already been cooking on one side. WTF?!
