Canceled or Writers Strike - Cavemen (2007) Discussion

There are unaired episodes...what is keeping CAVEMEN off the air is that its ratings were terrible, just atrocious. ABC got 4x the ratings with 35 year old Charlie Brown Cartoons...is it cancelled? ABC has not officially cancelled and because of the Writer's strike might actually air/burn off the remaining unaired episodes - but I dobut it. The show will be cancelled, sooner if the WGA settles the strike sooner.

The show's ratings were terrible because of its timeslot, it was third in its timeslot.

I BET THEY ARE SORRY THEY CANCELLED THE GEORGE LOPEZ SHOW,LESS THAN PERFECT,AND 8 SIMPLE RULES NOW.THEIR TUESDAYS ARE SO SHOT,THAT SAVING ACCORDING TO JIM AND BOSTON LEGAL,HELPS THEM AT THE END OF THE NIGHT.THEY ARE SO HURTING NOW,THAT THEY HAVE ORDERED DOUBLE THE EPISODES FOR ACCRODING TO JIM,SO THEY CAN COVER THE 9-10 PM SLOT NOW.IT'S SUCH A SHAME,BECAUSE THEY ABC AT ONE TIME OWNED TUESDAYS.WELL AT LEAST UNTIL AMERICAN IDOL CAME ALONG.

Well, at one point I probably thought that it was just the holiday scheduling or even maybe the writers strike. Now that I've visited the ABC.com site to watch "Full Episodes", I didn't find it there. It WAS there, now "Cavemen" and "Carpoolers" are missing from the full episodes listing. The other shows are still available and they've even added some other shows that were not there before. So, is it canceled? The likeliness of it has risen in light of circumstantial evidence. Maybe another network will pick it up. None the less, I will buy the DVD set when it arrives in stores.

The sooner the better ... but it would not be shocked if ABC, desperate for new programming, aired the unaired new episodes as filler as the strike goes on...

I expected this to be cancled before the season ended when I first heard that there would be a series based on the commercials.

I agree with you 100%. And to think that ABC actually cancelled good shows like "George Lopez" and "According to Jim" to make room for this trash.

I thought this show would be really bad..and I only watched it because my fiancee wanted to give it a shot...glad I did - I really got into it and looked forward to it and to a slighty lesser extent Carpoolers..

i think a lot of people are just like you, they think its crap for a bunch of different reasons. like bad reviews from idiots, or because the idea came from a commerical, as if other ideas from worst tv shows came from better places. i think if they gave it a shot theyd think otherwise.
