One Of The Worst Movies!

shareI thought it was alright. Did have some funny moments - the Burger Fuel product placement and Leigh Hart's cameo was hilarious. Problem I felt was that these guys can't act and trying to be all "lock, stock' just did not work.
shareI had the exact same thoughts. It was a pretty good movie but very rough around the edges. Some of the back-and-forth was hilarious as well as the shooting gags but some completely missed the mark. The main character also overacted while trying to channel his inner "Bacon."
Not a bad movie by any means, just one of those movies that leaves you feeling that if they tweaked it a little it could have been very good.
... you turned it off after 30 mins...
low budget doesnt make a movie bad. It's what they do with the money that counts. You Move You Die was just a low budget film that didnt take itself too seriously and had some fascinating long shots and work with a steadycam. You cant always get the best actors when you cant pay them any money.
I'd go for "So bad it was good". The acting was terrible but it had it's genuinely funny moments.
shareThe low budget thing put me off as well... but the dialogue kept me entertained and in the end I'd say this is one of the best low budget films I've ever seen.
shareI found the dialogue forced meaning that the writers were trying to be wittier and smarter than they actually were or are. I also turned it off after about 30 minutes because I couldn't take one more scene inside a car or on a bike.
shareWow. I loved it, as have several people I've recommended it to.

You know what? I AGREE. Every part of your well constructed discourse hits the right notes in my ears. I too enjoyed the film, while noting the rough edges, and I too had an appreciation for the style and techniques they used.
The running gags about the spontaneous insults and trigger -happiness kept me laughing quite hard in fact.
A sequel involving the mysterious "dangerous man" WOULD be great, and what's more the way they did the ending was perfect: Solid enough to not be a "POTC: Dead man's chest" and it leaves the audience some room for imagination, like Reservoir Dogs AND leaves the perfect premise for a sequel.
"So there he sat, nursing his drink, deep in thought..."
Did you say agree?? AGREE?!! Now that's a first for a while!
It seems we both felt the same way watching this movie, and another who'd like to see a sequel. Oh, 'Reservoir Dogs,' one of my favorite movies. I thought that was perhaps the main reason they did the ending the way they did. Perhaps now all they need is funding etc., and we won't hold our breath waiting for that, sadly!
Glad you enjoyed the movie also!

Actually, there's another thread on the board where Ketzal Sterling himself *apparently* acknowledged that it's in the works :D
"So there he sat, nursing his drink, deep in thought..."
Thanks very much for that, I'll have a look and do a bit of research and see what the get-go is. :)

I agree with you. It was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. And I watched all of it. This was supposed to be a comedy? It was more like a disaster.
