Showtime and The Movie Channel!

I saw this movie at a festival a while ago but just saw it again on Showtime and have been telling everyone to check it out.

The actors made all the characters very real in a slice-of-life kind of way, and I really picked up more of the subtlety and life-like confusion in their conversations by watching it again.

Rachel Hunter, Leisha Hailey and Christina Hendricks are totally hot but still feel like the girls next door. And Clare Carey really stands out in her small but central role as Rachel Hunter's girlfriend. (YES, I said GIRLfriend!)

I already pre-ordered the DVD, so don't take my word for it: Check it out for yourself!

At first I thought this film would be too "chick flickish," but I was pleasantly surprised. The dialogue between the characters was so REAL (Joaquim de Almeida's character's opinions on love and relationships completely mirrored my own). The writers didn't feel the need to wrap everything up in a neat little bow at the end, and they didn't go for all the movie cliches that movies about relationships seem to rely on. I would recommend this film to both men AND women.
