Who liked this movie?
I thought it had a great storyline but for some reason i didn't find it nearly as scary as the first one.. (number 2 sucked imo), so what do you think?

shareI agree with you in some parts, the first movie is the best and the most scariest of the three. About the second movie, yes it isn't not good as the first but in my opnion in the same 'level' of the third.
I was thinking about this third movie completely different that it was. I was really wanting that detective from the 1 and 2 to be the main actor of this movie. I was thinking about an history more closely to that place that mimiko lived.
What do you think about it?
Spoiler for 2, but didn't the detective die offscreen near the end?
shareI really liked it
it kinda felt like a Final Destination movies
i think it the best out of there
Terry (FD1) " you can just drop *beep* dead"
The trilogy wasn't as scary as Ringu/Ju-on/Kairo series, but I personally think it does have a nice twist compared to the previous two films, as in forwarding the message & whoever receives it... Shini.
Death rattles & Kairo's slow motion woman own Chakushin Ari 47 to 1 on the scare factor; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibrY5NCaB0M
Except "Final destination" was watchable, and actually quite enjoyable. :p
shareI hated it. It's not scary at all. The plot is dumb as hell. Acting is terrible. It sucks so bad... And if You think that OMCF is scary, You should watch Shutter.
shareSo true!
That film was scary!
That film was worst than this one for generic, I can see the cute ghost coming a mile off scares (well minus one of them which was awesome), the conclusion was interesting although I'm not sure there was enough focus on it. I still feel the Ju-on series is pound for pound the best Asian horror flick for shocks, both traditional jumpy and original elaborate sequences. Of course that's not to say they're the best horror films out there.
shareYeah, totally agree. Watch "Shutter", that was one scary movie (not Japanese, though)
shareI LOVED this movie.
R.I.P. Anthony, Jessica, and Thamara
Has the dvd been released in the US yet? I want to see it really badly since I love the first two.

I wish it was, but it hasn't been. I bought mine on eBay. It was the Chinese version I believe, but the english subtitles were AWFUL. Best to wait for an American release. Or you could watch it on crunchyroll.com

Thanks. I will be sure to wait for the US release. I hope it is soon though. With the remake (which I felt sucked) out now, I don't know how much longer Chakushin Ari films will be available.
Since of course, when America remakes a movie, the original NEVER HAPPENED. Gah! that just makes me angry!

I like it.
I can say that it is one of few films I can watch several times without getting tired of it. The one missed call thriology is not fascinating. I do not go around and think of the ghosts all the time comparing to other horrors. They are nice films with some excitement that can be seen several times.
And is scary the only thing that is important?
And what do you mean with scary there are different kinds of scares.
Ghost System is a Japanese horror film with no scare attacks at all. Still it is one of the scariest films I have seen.
