SPOILERS - Describe it in one word . . .

Mine would be depressing. It was quite an interesting movie, but in the end "depression" sums it up, just
with everyone dying like her mother, then her father, then Iva, then her trying to commit suicide - even at this point i thought it was depressing, and then she finally gets to America after all this time, and finds that he died that morning!
The scene at the end I did find a little bit redeeming though, as she is able to see the typewriter he used, all her letters up on the wall and therefore know that he was real.

I watched the trailer for it just then, and it brings out the good qualities in the film, and from watching that, it could be summed up as "touching" aswell. I think my previous post was focused on the negative things in the movie, but there were some funny parts and touching and moving parts.

sad

It is sort of depressing, could definitely be called melancholic, and is a little bittersweet, but I don't think you need any of that. It's sad in a very honest way, so it's not a bad thing, but it's very sad.

reply

I personally didn't find it depressing at all. I found it very "hopeful"

Friendship.

The ending of this movie is beautiful! I cried.
