i just rented this movie and it wasn't bad. a few twists and turns. haven't seen modine in a picture for awhile. am i nuts or the woman playing the main part was way too old ...i thought she was around 40+ and the talk about having kids??? wtf? on the internet, it states she's 48!!! bad casting on both parts.
shareMy friend had her 1st baby at age 48 & twins when she was 49. Women are still able to have babies up until menopause which these days is on average age 50.

yes, i'm sure it's a possibility for a few but not a probability. it just hit me weird. personally, i was in my late 30s when i had a child but the actress was what 47/48???? still bad casting.

it's been so long since i saw the movie, i don't remember which women but i'm assuming the one that was around 48 according to IMdb. it's not so important just bad casting to me. why have that in the script? it just struck me weird like i said, that's all. nothing major...just was wondering if anyone else felt the same way.
dude i agree with you totally. the whole time i kept thinking she looked like a grandmother. her skin falls, and she looks like, well, a grandmother.
so i agree with your point. it dont matter what the medical profession cn do to help 50 y o women have babies, the movie story was too young for these actors

OK so the talk about kids was questionable, but the two main characters were well matched. He is one year older than her. I enjoyed the movie after a long day at work.

i agree, they are both a bit too old for this movie. the script needed a rewrite after casting, to give a proper context
