There's a volume on the manga that is almost similar to Love Hina

Just read on the middle part of volume 15 of Suzuka (if there will be available for English translation and license). There, Yamato made a promise to his childhood friend, Saki that they should go to Tokyo University together and made them a pinky swear. But then, Suzuka had a recommendation from Seijoudai that might broke his promise to his childhood friend, Saki. And the rest should read it all, and no additional spoiler for now. Man, I wish there should be another season on the anime series, soon, because the 1st one was just a half of the manga itself.

i read the manga and i was riveted and shocked at every turn, actually caring about these char to the point that i actually found myself pissed off at the secondary love interests for no reason.

...but i digress, the season one ending was good enough to end the series if it doesn't get another season. It had an open-ended ending, but to someone who hasn't read the manga could still feel satisfied from it. After that point, the production comp is stuck with doing the whole series to get an ending of the same affect

That's not the only Parallel.

Kentaro's Girl (Naru) lives above him and there is a hole in the floor/Cieling between the two rooms.

Yamato's Girl (Suzuka) lives beside him and there is a hole in the wall between the rooms

Kentaro/Yamato are both staying at an all girls Dorm supervised by his Aunt.

Many similarities between secondary characters as well

Kitsune(Love Hina) is a overly amourous lush much as the College student who is staying at the same Dorm as Yamato.(Suzuka)
and many many more

At first I thought Suzuka was just a more serious and better drawn variant of Love Hina using HS track rather than Tokyo U as the main goal... but after the first few episodes, Suzuka diverges from the Love Hina storyline and comes into its own.

There is also a parallel between Suzuka and an echhi Manga called "Sundome" in at least one scene where Yuka Saotome , The College Lush and promiscuous girl, grabs Yamato's hand and holds it to her breast in the Baths, charging him 5000 yen and then keeps upping the price 6000, 7000, 8000 yen for every second.

In Sundome, a secondary girl who is very dumb, keeps yelling 1000 yen everytime someone bumps into her breasts, or gets and accidental panty shot, or some other glimpse of her naughty parts.
