Would we have heard of this story if Obama were President?

If Obama were President when these events took place, I doubt we would have ever heard of these two. This story was contrived from the start as a kind of gotcha to The Bush Presidency. People in the media and especially Bill Maher went on and on about this.

The problem is that they invented the entire thing as far as Bush was concerned, making it seem like he personally outed a CIA officer. There was zero evidence of that, but they still finger-pointed and created smoke.

The media did stories like this the entire time Bush was President. They created news, created suspicion, because they simply didn't like a Republican being President. They are the biggest sore losers in the world, but's what's even worse is that they are hypocrites. I heard the word "Iraq" every day for almost eight years. Funny how that word disappeared from the liberal vocabulary the very day Obama was elected.

You hit the nail on the head. This story is nonexistent under the Obama administration. The white house has almost complete control over the mainstream news media to run only the stories they want being ran, and at the same time they paint a view of Fox News and any one else who dares to criticize them as nutjobs.

Bush wasn't blamed for being a Republican, but for being a liar.

English is not my first language. Any corrections are welcome.

reply

Actually he was blamed for being a liar and a war criminal.

reply

Spot. On.

The simple fact of the matter is that Plame wasn't outed by anyone in the administration. Nor was Libby ever convicted of outing her, as the film hints. Nor did Bush ever claim Huessein purchased uranium from Niger. It's all just spin for the duped and dumb.
Meanwhile, the most lawless administration in American history gets paraded around like a band of heroes on a daily basis.

reply

Obama's no saint - but he's not in Bush's league either.

reply

No, he's not in Bush's league as he's drastically worse.

As for "war criminal," Bush did exactly what a president is legally supposed to do under the circumstances. He consulted members of both parties as well as leaders from around the world on what to do after 911...agree with the decision or despised the decision, it wasn't illegal, and if anyone lied that apparently our own military intelligence lied to the members of both parties that agreed to the war.

Bush wasn't a good president and paved the way for the far worse things Obama has done (the patriot act, for example), but whatever he did wrong, Obama has done drastically worse.
