Ouch....awful!

It goes to show how loyal fans are to Adam Baldwin and Morena Baccarin that they would sit through this awful movie. I count myself as one of those fans. There is no way on earth I would have watched more than 10 minutes of this crapfest if it wasn't for them. That being said, they did a fantastic job with the material, especially Adam near the end. The rest of the supporting cast was laughably awful, ESPECIALLY the guy who played Mark, but including even Dan Castellaneta in a mercifully short cameo.

Fortunately, I did not have my hopes up, as sci-fi channel original movies are notorious for their shoestring budget and moronic scripts. This one was especially bad, but you could have predicted this by just glancing at the director's resume.

I'm glad Adam and Morena are working, but is this what they are reduced to? Looking forward to Chuck and Heartland to save their careers.

I feel your pain. But I have nobody to blame but myself, they had the "made for sci-fi" this is gonna suck warning displayed at the opening. I just couldnt resist.

Since I just started watching, I'm glad to have my expectations lowered. That way, it has nowhere to go but up.

That was a hoot! Shades of "Roger Rabbit".

Overall, for a "Sci-Fi Channel Original Production", I thought it sucked less than most, and I was entertained. At the very least, there was some decent gore - the bulldozer scene was NOT what I expected! I'd watch it again - in a few years.

I'm glad I'm not only one thinks it a hoot. It was bad but not as bad as the bulk of the Sci Fi channels stuff. I just wish George could have stayed alive longer.
When I saw you on this board I just had to respond. For a uber-split second I was like WTF is GPPH doing on THIS board?!? Then I recalled you are a Firefly/Serenity fan. BTW I hear they are being released on Blu-Ray.

Why settle for the lesser of two evils? Vote Cthulhu!

Compared to recent Saturday night offerings, I thought SOO was pretty good. It had a good background story, the special effects weren't bad.

I enjoyed it.

I turned it off after 15 minutes. OMG it was horrible and I'm a fan of Adama and Morena as well. To bad. :(

Me too!!! I tuned in just for Adam and Morena but I could not last longer than the first 15-20 minutes. It was painful. :(

I had never even heard of this film until I read this entry, but I think it obvious that any film with 'oblivion' in its title will almost certainly heading swiftly to that very place.

For a start, half the people you meet will not even know what the word means, or at best will think it's something to do with Ireland...

I'm also a fan of Adam and Morena but this movie was a waste of time. Lousy effects, poor story, nothing connected to nothing.
I feel for Adam and Morena. I hope they get better movies in the future and restrain themselves from this very poor an amateur productions.

wow, that was worse than that crap King Tut flick with Casper Van Thunderbird...

Adam - if you ever read this, i've seen some of your low budget stuff before...Bad Guys ring a bell? But seriously...this was the worse thing i've ever known you to do...how you kept a straight face as that awful cg snake ate that woman I'll never know! I hope to God that the cheque was nice and hefty...

Let me absolve your wonder - the CG snake was added in post. He didn't actually have to look at it on set. :-)

If you can say any film is the worst ever made, you obviously don't watch enough films.
