Shills

Why do shills always sound way too enthusiastic? Tone it down guys, you're giving yourselves away.

what?

Read the posts, they sound ridiculous and scripted. Look at the profiles, they've only ever posted on this movie.

Same as you actually, so I think you know exactly what I'm talking about.

The movie was made on under $20,000 but looks as good as Speed (Budget $28mill), Die Hard (Budget $28mill), and Enemy of the State (Budget $90mill)?

Now I understand a low budget movie can be brilliant, Primer comes to mind, but no way are you going to make a $20,000 action movie look like a $90 million dollar movie.

There's just no way the people posting on this board are unbias movie viewers. At least it's incredibly doubtful.

Agreed. I think they'd be more successful if they didn't try and mimic what they for some reason believe enthusiastic movie goes talk like. Seriously when I like a movie I don't post "This movie ROCKS!!!" "AMAZING!!!". For one thing, no one says "rocks" anymore unless they're a tool. "Amazing" should be reserved for actual "amazing" films, one's that are groundbreaking in either visuals, story, or acting. Second...if you're going to register to fake interest in a movie no one knows about, sprinkle some comments on other movies. It's easy to click your name and see that this was the only movie you commented on.

I was actually gonna watch this movie...but after seeing the lack of interest/knowledge on the film except for fake comments and biased rating...I'll pass.

Good work shills.

I've been a member on IMDb since 2003, if you want someone to believe something you gotta create a better illusion... for example: Register early, spread your posts around so one doesn't look at your profile see you registered yesterday and only posted on the one movie ever.

And if they're not shills, they're definitely connected to the film in some way. Either family or friends of the crew, in which case there is no objectivity in anything they say, but at least it's not as underhanded as shilling for the movie outright.

I spotted them too... funny how they registered around the same date! It must be a crap movie if they have to write their own "AWESOME!" reviews.

It's not a bad idea in theory, but execution was sloppy. They could take a page from JJ Abrams handbook on viral marketing. Look at all he did to create hype for Cloverfield.

This piece of garbage and Cloverfield are 2 of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Awful movie, not awesome.
