DVD Extras

For those unhappy with the fact that this documentary is centrally focused on the 2006 revival rather than the original production of A CHORUS LINE, some good news. The DVD extras balance things out a bit:

40 additional minutes of interviews with Donna McKechnie, Robert LuPone, Marvin Hamlisch, John Breglio, Bob Avian, Frank Rich and others, covering the creation of the original show, life of Michael Bennett, career of Donna McKechnie, etc.

20 additional minutes of recordings from the original Bennett-led dancer confessional sessions on which A CHORUS LINE was built.

90-minute commentary track by Marvin Hamlisch and filmmakers Adam Del Deo and James D. Stern, with Hamlisch providing many additional stories about the original production.

Still criminally little mention of ACL co-creators Ed Kleban, James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante (Bios? Tony speeches? Something?!) or original cast members outside of McKechnie, LuPone and Lee, but better than nothing.

Cheers!
