Chryssie Whitehead IS Kristine

Only a small part of this movie, but wasn't Chryssie Whitehead instantly adorable and totally Kristine? I loved every moment she was onscreen, and I was certain she would get the part unless those doing the casting were blind and deaf.

(True confession: OK, I saw her in the ACL revival and remembered thoroughly enjoying her spot-on performance, which could be another reason I was certain she'd get it when I watched ELS.)
