Logically Challenged (may as well spoil it, it isn't worth watching)

The pieces of this movie just didn't fit together. It's like three movies: it's a redemption story about a man coming to terms with the loss of his family, it's a Charles Bronson revenge movie, and then there's the plot that weaves this all together which would only work in a romantic comedy. With how seriously this movies takes itself, Liam's idiotic Back to the Future-esque scheme of having his friend stage a phony bank robbery so that he can spoil it and be the hero just doesn't fit. If this movie had incorporated a little bit of levity, that plan might have worked on a comic level, but it came off like the film maker shot every scene with a stoically straightened face and a poster of Sean Penn hanging on his dressing room door.

What was even more ridiculous was that we were supposed to buy that he'd somehow redeemed himself and won the bank teller's love at the end of the movie. How does this work? This guy stalked her and got her shot in the head because he was too shy to just say "Hello" and then she enters into a prison romance with him because he went on a killing spree to uphold her honor? Is this really how the creative minds behind this film believe the world works?

There really need to be more negative reviews of this movie. It was just preposterous. The dialogue was terrible and the characters were all caricatures as well. Maybe it would have been good if Christian Bale was in it and it had used the script for The Fighter and David O. Russell had directed it.

Exactly my thoughts as well. This movie was so unbelievable it wasn't even funny. One of the worst movies I've seen in a long time! Glad I didn't spend money on buying this and only rented it. Pure garbage!
