I'm not sure it's a rip off but I don't care..it's crap all the same! I mean if it was any good you could complain..but there are so many other things to complain about that originality pales in comparison...

A friend who has seen both said that this one is much better. IMDB ratings appear to agree with that too.

I agree with your friend. I first saw Almost Normal and I though "good idea, really bad realisation". Straight story I liked, it is much better made.
