Didn't think it was going to happen but Sony is releasing the entire Spectacular Spider-man series in a Blu-Ray set this April 22. We don't know if it has only the old extras, new extras, or none at all. But the fact we're going to have this wonderful show on High Def is something to celebrate.

That is pretty sweet yet highly unexpected news.
I hate to nitpick, but umm, I hope there's a release for regular DVD. I know others are gonna come in and say 'JUST CONVERT ALREADY, DAMMIT', but I'd honestly just like one for S2 like S1 before it.

Exactly my problem. This is crazy to not put it out on Dvd as well. I've waited forever to get season 2 together in one place and they have to do bluray? Seriously? Bogus. How am I going to play that crap?

Part of me was hoping that they'd include some bonus episodes of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes guest-starring Josh Keaton as Spider-Man (right now I only have the redubbed versions of those episodes), but I guess Sony has rights issues to deal with.
Spectacular news. I have the whole series on DVD, but this is going to be a day one buy for sure.
