My Thought SPOILERS ALERT

Why not tell the court about her illiteration?

First, I think she was ashamed about it. Hanna has no family, not going to school like everyone else, uneducated..painful facts for a diligent, hardworking worker..its like opening the wound of her being alone in this world..Second, Hanna even though being introvert; is a kind person..like that Jewish woman said..she was taking care of children, the sick, the elderly throughout the camp..of course she felt guilty..is it worth to reveals things so humiliated just to defend yourself from a guilt like that? even though she can not read and write..those who remains dead is dead, she does aware about this..its all about choice..she can choose not to work in the camp, but because of the embarrassment , she choose a wrong decision..then she can choose to defend herself..but instead of that, she decided to do something nice..which is justice for those who died in the incident.. guilty also making her commit suicide, being guilty killing people who read to her,the Jewish and killing Michael’s heart..

Why Michael did not help Hanna?

First, Michael loves Hanna, its part of his loyalty to hide something Hanna ashamed of..Hanna herself are not willing to admit even though that endanger herself..Michael know who Hanna is..how cold and stubborn she is..Second,as a person..in this case even though Hanna could not read, who can restore the victim’s life?what if the one that have been killed is your own family, what is your feelings? As a lawyer he is aware that the law still prove they are all wrong because they are letting the incident happened like what his friend said..there is no one else..although Hanna just running errands, she remained guilty..Third,Michael hurted so much when hearing that Hanna invited the girls to read a book for her and then send them to be killed..is it kinder?like what has happened to himself..he gives Hanna sex and pleasure being read to and she then disappeared and hurt him..Michael did the same thing as a revenge when leaving Hanna at the prison and not helping her with the charges..the question of the choice to do good or not..and Michael choose both..do good/bad in terms of law and he choose to do bad as a revenge against the person he loved..Michael also think that if Hanna set free, would she be returned to him after he acknowledged that Hanna just using him to read for her like what she does to Jews?does she really love him?or she just being kind?the moment he received Hanna's letters he might almost thought Hanna really did the crime because she can write..and the moment he enters Hanna's cell, ohh im already tears up..

Hanna really a monster?

Hanna do love/do not love Michael..she is a kind person in a wrong way..she help Michael, including help to teach his own exploration of sexuality.. her kindness draw Michael to her..too kind its destroying Michael (just like how Michael's parent did).. it is just a kindness or love?their first sex could be wrong because of her loneliness, she does not think of the impact..it is a crime?not a crime?its falls within..she do trying to get rid of him by being cold to him all of the time..she know how immatured Michael are at that time, their love not going to work, they are unequal in many things..Michael do have a bright future that she does not want to crush..one thing she did wrong is she does not know and does not expected that Michael really trully do love her,its scarred him that much.. but what are you expected from a 15 year old boy, really?if Michael do loves her, what if his parent find out about them?i cant find the answer..love him/love him not its confusing..sometime i think Hanna do loves him,and Michael was wrong about her..because she choose only girls to read for her at the camp (like no one could replace Michael)..but she hid it so that Michael would forget her..like i said..she is kind in a wrong way..now do you think Michael falling in love with a wrong person?well that is love..love does'nt choose,it just happened..

p/s : English is my second language..just what I thought..i love this movie so much..gosh if only she is an educated person, all of this things would'nt happen?..but illiteration can save her from the charges..do you see how much this movie makes you think a lot?nothing less for an Oscar nominee..
