Suffers from a rushed and awkward second act.

Following a beautiful first act, the movie makes an awkward transition to a rushed and clunky second act. In my opinion, most of the time spent on the trial and law school was unnecessary. Not only is this part of the film rushed and awkward, but the acting suffers in these scenes as well. This might be a film that would have benefited from exposition. The first and (most of) the third act were done quite beautifully.
