Anyone have seen Cheeni Kum in London or Cannes?
If so, please post the review..
Thx
I have seen it in Amsterdam, so I hope you don't mind. I found it a very funny, down-to-earth, sarcastic but lovely film! Amitabh, Tabu, Zohra Sehgal, Paresh Rawal and that wonderful little girl were all great in their roles. I think Paresh' role could've been written better; he comes across a caricature sometimes. Very fresh and enjoyable movie with some great dialogues! :) I rate it 8 out 10.
shareIf you have not you have not missed anything... Cheeni Kum is realy "Cheeni Kum"
shareI think the majority positive reviews are proof enough that its a fab movie.
shareHere you go ethnic guy...i don;t know what's ur preferred kind of cinema and what you'll enjoy the most.
Here's my opinion about the movie and you can think on 'go' or 'no go' after this...
Movie is not about Big B / Tabbu / Paresh Rawal or any other character...this movie talks about the sweetness which is fading away from ourlives. We have stopped appreciating small yet good things in life. We have achieved a lot, may be professionally, business wise, education-wise...but the point this movie makes it that we have lost that we have not been realizing the value of time which is running out at unstoppable speed...this is getting philosophical
but the message is ultra-clear...still communicated in a very light manner
the dialogues are written with a really nice sense of humor...one of the best part is that sequences in the movie are shot without any 'cuts' and they are remarkably shot...and edited
entertainment all thru'...and mission accomplished
good on you Balki...cheers
