Ruddy Hell It's Harry and Paul

That's the new title.

Mildy entertaining 3 minutes in.

Sayonara, not to be confused with cyanide, which is, of course, goodbye in any language.

Just terrible. The older he gets the less funny he becomes.
Thank goodness for the new series of Peep Show in half an hour!

reply

Hoorah for those thoughts.
Curiously Tristram Shapeero directs both. One great, one terrible, but then again so was That Mitchell and Webb Sh/te.

reply

Actually Shapeero is not directing the new series of Peep Show.

Armstrong and Bain are the true legends

Was disappointed with this big time! Where were the laughs, charm and originality from their 90s TV show?? The only decent sketches in this was the footy one at the start and the Polish cafe-owners. The rest was just hackneyed, drawn-out rubbish. And that Laurel & Hardy one was just plain uncomfortably and excruciatingly bad!

Watched Peep Show half-an-hour later and laughed far more with that!

Also, is it just me or were they mocking Mr Bean in one of the sketches? How incredibly self-obsessed they have become. Who are they to mock anyone, they're stuck in the early 90s, and even then there were much better shows such as The Mary Whitehouse Experience and Punt and Dennis.

I also agree that the Laurel and Hardy sketch was incredibly out of place and just uncomfortable. I can imagine the writers meeting where they came up with that one: "Shock comedy seems to be all the rage these days with Ricky Gervais and the likes. We're going to have to be pretty edgy if we want to keep up". They got the shock, but unfortunately left out the comedy.
