Well I just watched this whole series, in Japanese.
I eventually got tired of waiting for the Dub and just watched it. This was my first time Ever watching an Anime in Japanese, the only other time I've watched anything in another language is The Passion of The Christ.
To some degree I'm worried I might have spoiled my ability to enjoy the Dub when it comes, but I've never been as picky as most people on the Internet are.
I was hoping I might learn some Japanese watching it, but that didn't really work, all I got is Kami=God which I already knew from the Lyrics in the booklets that came with Noir's soundtracks.
It was very good, not as Great as Noir, not sure if it'd consider it better then Madlax or not. Now I'm gonna give a quick rundown of the main Characters.
Nadie is pretty cool
Ellis is Cute
Richardo is Bad@$$
Liro is adorable
Blue-Eyes well has Blue Eyes
Rosenberg is interesting
L.A. is whacked out of his mind
This was definitely the most humor filled of the 3, which works, the running Joke with the Tacos song is interesting. Thou there is still no sequence as Hilarious as the Moonlite Tea Party from Noir.
It is also ultimately the least Violent, not nearly as many people Die, and most who do pretty undisputedly had it coming.
It must really show how much of a Nerd I am that I completely understood the description of Maxwell's Demon, and wasn't at all bored by it. I was quite intrigued and looked it up and it is a Real theory, I don't think it cold possibly work in real Life as it does here, but it's interesting, that's why I like Science Fiction, them using obscure little facts and theories about time and space, and why I so much hated the new Star Trek, for having none of that.
The mysterious Secret Society of this one is the least interesting however, a weird Coven of Witches who's goal is to die out? really weird.
L.A. going all Rambo at the end seemed really random.
Like with Noir, the the Murder mystery was pretty easy to guess, I don't think anyone would have failed to figure out it was Rosenberg after episode 14.
There seems to be an implied Nazi background to Rosenberg, thou I'm not sure I fully understood his back story description, but I do enjoy Nazi villains.
bringing everything together in episode 25 and making the last just a Giant Epilogue was, interesting, but the problem is I watched 25 not expecting everything to Climax just yet, then Puff, it Climaxed.
I deduced who the Fat guys where in the last episode about 5 seconds before Ellis said "Their the Gay people" and of course I immediately burst into laughter when she said that.
Also the Lesbian element seems less Subtle this time, they even fight like an Old Married couple.
At any rate I would recommend it, I most like how It's kinda like a Modern Western.
