That would have been the cast.

I don't dislike Hopkins, but his make up was so lame, I couldn't hekp noticing that all the time. Mrs. Mirren was still too sexy to play mouselike Alma Reville.

Timothy Spall is both great actor and he resembles Hitch even without heavy masking.

That's one thing.

The other is factuality. Was Alfred really less gifted brother of Sherlock Holmes, as film indicates? I don't think so.

The third thing, love story connected to Alma is so predictable and cliche.

Fourth, again ... Timothz Spall would have been great Hitchcock!
