Does anyone on here truly, really, deeply, believe this documentary?

Or do you believe it, because of "Faith" in Cameron Crowe.

He's not steering too fast in unfamiliar waters, some say. The Iceberg won't hit him.

As Mr. Crowe says, "I'm not a Theologian, I'm not an Archaeologist, I'm a documentary filmaker.

Seriously, do you seriously believe the claims of this film? And that the name on Jesus's tomb is not "RIP, Jesus", but "RIP Hanun?"

Who's Hanun?

What does Cameron Crowe have to do with anything.

Hello again Tom516.

Well, Cameron Crowe made this his pet project.

I will never believe on this documentary until they OPEN the SEAL and send at least 50 scientists members of all kinds of religions to investigate the place and release a full document about what they think of the veracity of the tomb.

You must be joking if you believe on a documentary made by the "enemies" of Christian-ism. Jews and Muslins and Buddists are not Christians and should be prohibited to do documentaries about it.

A few Questions:

1- This is the biggest discovery in history of man kind, and I am sure to be the first big discovery to be completely SEALED by ISRAEL after one single crew investigated. They didn't seal Pharaoh, or the Pyramids, or any other gigantic discovery, but this one was sealed by the Israeli government.

2- Isn't coincidence that the only crew to investigate is the same crew of the documentary? And basing on the documentary, no one else will ever put their foot inside the tomb again. Wow... Amazing...

3- I am astonished that the same people who found the Scrolls of Judas, now made a second gigantic discovery, being the tomb of Jesus. These people are SO lucky to make TWO gigantic discoveries in a life time, what will they find [coff build coff!] next?

4- This documentary has one objective: Destroy Christian-ism. How can people allow [Jews/any other religion] to do this kind of documentary? Wanting or not, it is in history books that Jews and Christians were huge religious enemies. Today we are no longer enemies, but... seriously... This is like Republicans vs Democrats, they both have different ideals and will never change.

5- Biggest discovery in history of man kind, and no one cares? No one wants NOR CAN go there investigate? Why is that? Isn't odd to you?

6- Israel actually sealed the TOMB of JESUS? It could be the TOMB OF JESUS and they SEALED? OMG... This is totally stupid... think guys, just think... You can't actually believe on this documentary... its bs. The only reason to SEAL the biggest discovery in history of man kind, is to HIDE that the discovery is a hoax.

So... the only people who can conduct scholarly research on an article of your faith are people who already firmly, totally believe the conclusion beforehand?? Sorry, if you want to go there, it would make more sense not to issue permits to paranoid religious people who are so shaky in their beliefs that they believe everyone else who believes differently than they are "enemies" out to get them. So don't pack your shovel anytime soon.

"1- This is the biggest discovery in history of man kind,"

That a human being born 2000 years ago... um... died? Like all the rest of us? No, I'd put things like, well, fire higher on mankind's discovery list.

"and I am sure to be the first big discovery to be completely SEALED by ISRAEL after one single crew investigated. They didn't seal Pharaoh, or the Pyramids, or any other gigantic discovery, but this one was sealed by the Israeli government. "

Many countries guard their history closely and are loath to let anyone in who might interfere with the official version of events. And if they do let someone in, it has to be a national to get the credit. Egypt and Zahai Hawass (head of their antiquities authority) is a prime example of this, especially the fuss he made about letting a non-Egyptian open the trap door thing they'd found in a pyramid shaft, even though a German found it and built the robot camera that could open it.

"2- Isn't coincidence that the only crew to investigate is the same crew of the documentary? "

That doesn't make any logical sense. Cameron backed a documentary about Jacobovici's theory, so they filmed there. There's not a cottage industry of Jesus tomb documentarians who ought to be popping out a DVD a week or something.

"And basing on the documentary, no one else will ever put their foot inside the tomb again. Wow... Amazing... "

Oh now i see.... must you be so unoriginal as to be the 3 millionth human being to posit a Jewish conspiracy? Can't you at least make it a cabal of gay Chinese left-handers? A Jewish conspiracy is SO 1939-45.

"3- I am astonished that the same people who found the Scrolls of Judas, now made a second gigantic discovery, being the tomb of Jesus. These people are SO lucky to make TWO gigantic discoveries in a life time, what will they find [coff build coff!] next? "

How about another documentary you won't like... this one that shows the Protocols Of the Elders Of Zion is a forgery?

"4- This documentary has one objective: Destroy Christian-ism. How can people allow [Jews/any other religion] to do this kind of documentary?"

Yeah! Back to the camps with them! It looks like you're even retreading the "Jews run Hollywood" conspiracy too. Yawn.

" Wanting or not, it is in history books that Jews and Christians were huge religious enemies."

Dude, any hostility was pretty much one-sided. And here's a hint... it wasn't the Jews doing the persecuting.

" Today we are no longer enemies, but... seriously... This is like Republicans vs Democrats, they both have different ideals and will never change. "

No, most people don't view religion like pro wrestling. And it's only the past 20 years that has seen American politics become ideology over country. The attempt to impeach Nixon was bipartisan and there were prominent Republicans criticising what had been revealed about the coverup.

"5- Biggest discovery in history of man kind, and no one cares? No one wants NOR CAN go there investigate? Why is that? Isn't odd to you? "

Not odd, just human nature. Most of Christian mankind would prefer not to know, and most of non-Christian mankind, particularly the secular part, doesn't care. Most scholars don't want to become the Salmon Rushdie of archeology so are moving at a glacial pace. Many more don't want to jump on something that has received hype before scholarly publication. Israel doesn't want more religious strife within its borders or risk angering its friends abroad (including American Christian fundamentalists, who had an ally in power until this year). There's nothing going on here that wasn't going on when the first geologists came forward and claimed wear from rain on the Sphinx, which would put its creation at a date before that of the Egyptians. You saw support from geologists, vehement attacks from archeologists, and Egypt viewing an attempt to take away an accomplishment of their ancestors and a corresponding clamp-down on permits that might involve furthering this theory. Same old, same old.

"6- Israel actually sealed the TOMB of JESUS? It could be the TOMB OF JESUS and they SEALED? OMG... This is totally stupid... think guys, just think... Actually, a more logical reason to seal it is to hide the fact that it's true and touch off a powderkeg. There was no grand conspiracy here. The IAA didn't want anyone nosing around in anything without their permission. It's a governmental power trip that you see all over the world, not just in Israel.

I believe it was James Cameron, as producer, not Cameron Crowe...

Just wanted to point that out, is all...
