This would be exactly like a guy who has spent his life being in the fast food industry suddenly having a TV show called "The unclothed Rocket Scientist"

Just the title itself is easily debunked. Simcha Jacobovici has no credentials in Archeology! None. It's like person who occasionally reads comics, doing a tell all documentary about Stan Lee, without Stan Lee's involvement. Telling us all sorts of things about Stan Lee they are simply theorizing.

HE..

"is a Canadian film director, producer, free-lance journalist, and writer. He is a three-times Emmy winner for Outstanding Investigative Journalism." (from his Wikipedia) He has a degree in philosophy. That's it.

Whether you believe in Christianity or not..this is not the guy to use in your arguments. He has the same qualifications as any contestant on Jay Leno's Man On The Street. He often is as totally off base as those contestants.

I personally don't like, or agree with many of Dr Zahi Hawass's statements or theories. However, he IS involved in archeology! He may be a grandiose blowhard on TV, yet compared to Simcha he's 100 times more credible, which in perspective is pretty sad.

There's a principle of logic that says the credentials of somebody do not determine the correctness or otherwise of their argument. Are you, for example, a professor of some discipline in order to equip yourself to write a reasoned comment on IMDB? Probably not I suspect. Ad Hominem attacks are meaningless.

Simcha Jacobovici is an obviously intelligent film maker, with good reasoning and investigative skills, who has put together a well constructed, compelling documentary. Let the experts come forth and point out where he has gone wrong, if he has. But so far nearly everything I've heard has been so completely lame it seems to exist simply as unwillingness to believe.
