A desperate attempt to be as 'clever' as the original, and failing...

Wow, they REALLY tried to be as cute, clever and funny as the original. Boy did they fail. They failed in an EPIC manner. Did anyone else notice how hard this film tried to capture the wit and humor of the original movie? It was painful to watch. Perhaps, they should try with an actually clever SCRIPT before trying to act all cutesy and clever on film....

With all the clueless kids around, this movie actually reminded me more of Tobe Hooper's Crocodile than it does the original Lake Placid. The biggest difference is, of course, Hooper's movie was funny and entertaining.
