It seems that this movie is based on la tregua by Mario Benedetti
An old man falling in love with a young woman, theman doesnt have the best relationship with his children, and then the woman dies.

Sometimes this bothers me, is like Moulin Rouge, is obvious that the movie was based on the lady of the camellias by Alejandro Dumas (son). But it was not credited.
