Her line at the end of saying "I will miss you".

I felt she thought he would see her as less of woman and bail on her. Normal for her to think/say this. Maybe it was placed in the film to underscore he is no longer as shallow as he was and loved her anyway. It also shows she felt she was less attractive to him. Perfect ending with continuing there relationship.
